In the past few days, TG Vishwa Prasad had stirred up a storm with a series of interviews, where the renowned producer had talked about the ongoing films workers’ strike, sharing his views about the film crew members nexus and how they are causing huge losses to the industry. On Thursday, Vishwa Prasad issued an official statement, clarifying his remarks about the issue and particularly his stance on local crew members in Hyderabad.

Taking to X page, Vishwa Prasad stated, “Any notion that I do not value Hyderabad talent is a misinterpretation. Hyderabad is home to exceptional talent. 60-70% of the workforce in Telugu cinema including our own productions comes from this pool. Their contributions have been central to the industry's growth.”

TG Vishwa Prasad clarified that he intended to critique the system which acts as a barrier to entry for new talent. He added, “new aspiring technicians face significant entry barriers, including abnormal fees (5-7 lakh) demanded by certain vested interests. These networks restrict the entry of new talent, thus harming the industry's long-term prospects. This blockade prevents a fresh influx of talent and skill development.”

The Raja Saab producer further stated that the collective goal should be to ‘open more doors and create paths for upskilling, so the remaining gaps are also filled by homegrown talent.’ “This way, we minimize reliance on external hires, recognizing and supporting our own. The way forward is to dismantle these unfair barriers, promote merit, and reduce vested interests,” he added.

In one of his recent interviews, among many other instances of duplicitous work ethics, TG Vishwa Prasad had spoken about his film Bro suffered losses because of the hired VFX company which tricked the production banner into spending 3-4 times the VFX cost, while delivering sub-par product.
