For Kayadu Lohar, a routine flight turned into a dream moment when she realised that superstar Rajinikanth was seated right next to her. The actor, who was travelling to Hyderabad, took to Instagram on Tuesday to share a selfie with Rajinikanth and recall the unexpected encounter.
Lohar, a self-confessed Rajinikanth fan, said she was left almost speechless by the coincidence. She also revealed that the first thing that came to her mind when she saw him was 'Sundari', the popular song from Thalapathi. “I think I am still dreaming!!! From being the biggest fan to somehow ending up sitting RIGHT NEXT to Rajinikanth sir on a flight… I still can’t believe this happened,” she wrote.
Calling it a surreal and completely unexpected experience, Lohar said the encounter had made her day. She also expressed hope that the fan moment could eventually turn into a professional one, saying she would love to share screen space with Rajinikanth someday. She ended the post on a lighter note, joking that she “look[s] like a potato” in the selfie.
The moment comes at a time when Lohar has been steadily expanding her presence across South Indian cinema. She shot to wider popularity with Dragon and has since landed several prominent projects, including Nani-starrer The Paradise. Recently seen in Idhayam Murali, she also has Immortal, Suriya 48, I'm Game and Manjanathi in the pipeline.
Rajinikanth, on the other hand, is all set for the release of Jailer 2, scheduled for October 15. The first single from the Nelson directorial, 'Ala Bolelo', was recently unveiled. At present, he is shooting for Dharman, helmed by Ashwath Marimuthu. Also starring Simran and Raashi Khanna, the film is backed by Kamal Haasan's Raaj Kamal Films International, marking their reunion after more than four decades. They will be reuniting once again after this for KHxRK reunion, helmed by Nelson.
