Kayadu Lohar is currently on a winning spree, adding many promising upcoming films to her kitty, and it looks like she has now landed another major project. Speculations are rife that the actor is being considered for an important character in Ajith Kumar's much-anticipated AK64 from director Adhik Ravichandran.
While AK64 is yet to go on floors and much details about the project remain under wraps, excitement regarding the film has been high ever since it was announced with pre-production currently ongoing.
Earlier on Wednesday, we had reported that Ajith's wife and former actor Shalini could be making her debut as a producer by backing AK64, although there has been no official confirmation from the actor or the film's team. The latest reports suggest that Shalini may not only bankroll the project but also oversee its production.
Ajith was last seen in Adhik Ravichandran's Good Bad Ugly which was released earlier last year. The film also starred Trisha, Arjun Das, Sunil, Prabhu, Prasanna, Karthikeya Dev, Priya Prakash Varrier, Jackie Shroff, Shine Tom Chacko, Tinnu Anand, BS Avinash and Raghu Ram.
Meanwhile, the actor's racing endeavours are set to be made into a feature-length film, directed by Vijay. Titled Gladiators, it is set to showcase how he along with his team overcame major challenges and secured podium finishes in leading championships. The film is presented by Ajith Kumar Sports Services LLC.
Kayadu Lohar, who was last seen in Pradeep Ranganathan's hit film Dragon last year in Tamil, has a slew of upcoming films across South Indian languages including GV Prakash's Immortal slated for release on July 23, 2026, Dulquer Salmaan's I'm Game, Nani's The Paradise, Vinay Govind's Thaaram, Mari Selvaraj's Manjanathi and Suriya 48 from TJ Gnanavel.
