Filmmaker duo Rohit-Sasi, who are popular in the indie film circuit for films like Double Engine and Sheesh Mahal among others, are coming up with a new coming-of-age comedy title Gopi Galla Goa Trip. The official trailer of the film was unveiled on Tuesday evening at a grand ceremony that was attended by Venkatesh Maha, Baby filmmaker Sai Rajesh, and Rupak among others.

Featuring Ajith Mohan, Raju Shivaratri and Sasi himself in prominent roles, Gopi Galla Goa Trip promises to revolve around two friends, both named Gopi, who run a small event management venture in their village and are done with the uneventful life. Riding on many fantasies fuelled by a villager neighbour Gopanna, Gopi and Gopi somehow arrive in Goa, only for their expectations to be thwarted and met with boredom and ennui — until a localite JD (Sasi) tells them about the ‘girlfriend’ experience. How Gopi and Gopi respond to these vibrant developments in their lives, and what they discover along the way forms the crux of the story. 

While both Rohit and Sasi have penned the script, Rohit helms the direction for Gopi Galla Goa Trip. The ensemble cast includes Sai Kumar, Pawon Ramesh, and Monika Busam. In the technical team, Avanti Ruya is the editor and Shashank Raghavula is the cinematographer. Music direction is helmed by Ravi Nidamarthy. Additionally, Deepesh Meher has been credited as the chief AD. 

Gopi Galla Goa Trip is produced by Sai Kumar, Sita Ramaraju, Ramana Reddy under the banners of Raasta Films, Aurelis Arts, and Awwal Number Productions, in association with Avanti Cinema. Prem kumar, Govind Rajpur, Naren Dutta and Naveesh Reddy are onboard as co-producers.  The makers are yet to set a release date for their film.
