The makers of Gopi Galla Goa Trip dropped the film’s first single, ‘Kaaka Regina Dahaalu.’ on Friday. The blasting rock track is the answer for rock enthusiasts that crave electric energy. The energetic anthem has lyrics penned by Niklesh Sunkoju that talk about thirsty urges, while the raw vocals are sung by Smaran. The buddy comedy film has music by Ravi Nidamarthy, who scored previously for Lovers Club and Happy Ending. The makers released the song with a trippy video of the musician and singer, among others, grooving to the rock track.
Recently, the makers unveiled the film’s teaser, which showcases two youngsters on their first trip to Goa in pursuit of white women. There’s an evocative road film vibe in the teaser. The comedy marks the return of Rohit and Sai, the makers of Double Engine (2024).
Rohit and Sasi have operated in the indie Telugu cinema space for 13 years and released many independent films and series like Sheesh Mahal, Nirudyoga Natulu, Story Discussion, and Pickpocket, among others. They have been notoriously reputed for making improvisational films and exploring avant garde cinema. Their filmmaking has been minimalistic, low-budget, and inventive, garnering them immense audience love in the indie circuit.
Gopi Galla Goa Trip is produced by Sai Kumar, Sita Ramaraju, Ramana Reddy and Avanti Cinema. Shashank Raghavula cranked the camera, and the editing is helmed by Avanti Ruya. This buddy comedy is said to be a sync-sound film, one of the few made in Telugu cinema. The makers are yet to announce a release date.
