On his Birthday night, Shah Rukh Khan surprised his fans as he unveiled the first single from his much-anticipated actioner King. The song titled ‘Tu Mil Jaaye’ also features Deepika Padukone in the music video.
Sung by Arijit Singh and Ed Sheeran, with the latter delivering his distinct rap section, ‘Tu Mil Jaaye’ is a funky romantic number song by Sachin-Jigar that’s catchy and has interesting lyrics by Kumaar. Madhubanti Bagchi, known for ‘Aaj Ki Raat’ adds her distinctive touch to the peppy number.
Much on the style of their previous iconic song ‘Besharam Rang,’ ‘Tu Mil Jaaye’ music video features Shah Rukh and Deepika courting and romancing each other at picturesque locales, donning swanky outfits. With choreography by Piyush-Shazia, the video closes with another powerful dialogue by SRK, “Iss baar dil mein aag lagi hai, ab duniya jalaye bina manega nahi”, bringing the focus back to the aura and intensity that defines KING.
The music video also gives glimpses of the action-heavy vibe of the film, and also brief idea about the backstory of the characters played by Shah Rukh and Deepika, and what leads the former to be a ruthless vengeant man.
Shah Rukh and Deepika had previously collaborated on Jawan. Incidentally, SRK's previously film with SidDharth Anand, the massive blockbuster Pathaan (2023), also featured Deepika.
Directed by Siddharth Anand and produced by Red Chillies Entertainment and Marflix Pictures, KING arrives in cinemas worldwide on 24 December 2026. The film has a massive ensemble cast with actors like Abhishek Bachchan, Rani Mukerji, Bobby Deol, Arshad Warsi, Anil Kapoor and Jackie Shroff, Suhana Khan, Abhay Verma, Jaideep Ahlawat and Saurabh Shukla on board.
