A joint meeting was held between leading Telugu film industry producers, distributors and exhibitors of both Andhra Pradesh and Telangana, to make a decision about the ongoing dispute over revenue share models. Following the meet, Telugu Film Chamber of Commerce (TFCC) officially held a press meet to provide clarity on the discussion.

Addressing the media, TFCC secretary KL Damodar Prasad stated, “The meeting was held in a healthy manner, and on a positive note. We reached the conclusion that theatres will continue to remain open.  We are going to form a committee with members from all bodies, have a meeting on May 30, and travel further on a positive note in this discussion.”

Damodar Prasad also mentioned that they plan to maintain a timeline and address the issues raised by all the three sectors because ‘the issues of all these sectors are interlinked.’

The TFCC secretary further stated, “Representations from all organisations — TFCC, Telugu Film Producers Coundil and State Film Chamber of Commerce — all of us are here. This meeting happened in the presence of them all, and we aim to solve the internal issues at the chamber.” He added, “If necessary, we are open to discussing the matter with the government, as we have done in the past.”

The meeting was attended by several key industry figures, including Prasanna Kumar, Sridhar, Sudhakar Reddy, Shiva Prasad Rao, Bharat Bhushan, Venkateswara Rao, Sunil Narang, Anupam Reddy, Bharat Chowdary, T.S. Ram Prasad, C. Kalyan, Muthyala Ramadas, M. Sudhakar, and others.
