Earlier this month, the makers of Shashtipoothi announced May 30 as the release date for their film. On Sunday, the team released their film’s new single, titled ‘Rathrantha Rache.’ Notably, Ilaiyaraaja is the music director for the film.

In complete contrast to the songs previously released, which were richer in melody and a rustic sound, ‘Rathrantha Rache’ is more groovy and stylised in its composition. The song is penned by Chaitanya Prasad. It also marks the first Telugu song for Yuvan Shankar Raja as a playback singer, while Nithyashree accomapanies him as the female vocalist.

The song video, choreographed by Eshwar Panti, is shot at several locations, and captures the many moods of romance between the film’s protagonists played by Rupeysh and Aakanksha Singh.

Written and directed by Pavan Prabha, Shashtipoorthi also stars Rajendra Prasad and Archana in prominent roles. Actors like Prabhas Sreenu, Chalaki Chanti, Chakrapani Ananda, Muralidhar Goud, Jabardasth Ram, and Sanjay Swarup, among others, comprise the ensemble cast.

Debutant actor-producer Rupeysh is producing the film under the Maa Aaie Productions banner. The film has many veterans in the technical team, including Thota Tharani, who helms the art direction, and Karthika Srinivas, who is the editor.
