Old-school melody takes prominence in ‘Iri Kanulu Kanulu,’ new single from Shashtipoothi 

The makers of Shashtipoorthi released their new single on Friday. Ravi Teja officially launched the song, accompanied by the film’s primary team including Rajendra Prasad who plays a significant role in the film.

Composed by Ilaiyaraaja, 'Iru Kanulu' is an old-school romantic number, driven by a mellow melody and lilting strings section. The song has vocals by SPB Charan and Vibhavari Apte Joshi, and lyrics by Rehman. The song video, choreographed by Eshwar Penti, is picturised on the film’s leads Rupeysh and Aakanksha. Rupeysh ia also producing the film under Maa Aaie Productions banner.

Shashtipoorthi is written and directed by Pavan Prabhas. The film features Archana in a prominent role, besides names like Prabhas Sreenu, Ananda Chakrapani, Muralidhar Goud, Jabardasth Ram, Sanjay Swarup, Ambaresh Appaji, and Mahi Reddy in the ensemble cast. The film also boasts of major names in the technical team like Thota Tharani (art direction) and Karthika Srinivas (editing). Raam is the cinematographer.
