The official teaser of Shashtipoorthi was released at a grand ceremony on Saturday. The event was attended by the primary cast and crew of the film, including Ilaiyaraaja, who has composed music for the film.

Written and directed by Pavan Prabha, Shashtipoorthi tells the story of Sri Ram (Rupeysh), who learns a crucial lesson about honesty and ethics in his childhood and grows up to become a righteous public lawyer whose only mission in life is to fight for justice at all costs. Rupeysh is also producing the film under the Maa Aaie Productions banner.

Additionally, the film features Aakanksha Singh as the female lead and Rajendra Prasad in a special appearance where he plays the protagonist’s father. Talking about Ilaiyaraaja’s contribution to his career, Rajendra Prasad said, “He first composed music for my film 'Preminchu Pelladu'. After 'Preminchu Pelladu', 'Ladies Tailor' became a hit because of Ilaiyaraaja's music. It is a great pleasure for our 'Swami' to provide music for my film after so long. The fact that Keeravani wrote the song is testament to how special this film is.”

National award-winning actor Archana too is part of the lead cast. Actors like Prabhas Sreenu, Chalaki Chanti, Chakrapani Ananda, Muralidhar Goud, Jabardasth Ram, and Sanjay Swarup, among others, comprise the ensemble cast.

What also sets Shashtipoorthi apart is that Ilaiyaraaja is on board as the music director for the film, marking a rare occasion where the legendary Tamil composer has composed a full soundtrack for a Telugu movie. Ilaiyaraaja stated at the event, “I rarely participate in audio release functions. However, a lot of newcomers are making their first attempt through Shashtipurthi, and I have come here to encourage them.”

The film has many veterans in the technical team, like Thota Tharani, helming the art direction, and Karthika Srinivas, who is the editor. Additionally, MM Keeravani has penned a song for the film. Keeravani said about Ilaiyaraaja at the event, “In the beginning of my career, I composed music under the influence of Ilayaraja garu for two years. I wanted to sing to Ilayaraja Garu's music, but that opportunity did not come. However, I finally got the opportunity to write a song for his music. This song will not only reflect the situation in the movie but also my equation with him.”

A release date for the film is yet to be announced.
