Teja Sajja's Mirai grabbed attention with a compelling trailer. Now, the actor's Instagram story, on Saturday, sending birthday wishes for producer Swapna Dutt  ended with four words that've set social media buzzing, "See you in K," the actor wrote.

Kalki 2898 AD before it got its official title, the team used to call the film as Project K, and that link was enough for people to believe Teja could be joining the sequel. Others argue it might be a completely different film, but either way, his cryptic message has fueled speculation.

With Mirai hitting theatres on September 12, the trailer kicks off with Teja's character Yodha starting an epic hero's journey where Manchu Manoj's menacing Black Sword character is hunting for nine holy books that'll make him invincible. Teja must attain Mirai, described as "a weapon created from the path that Lord Rama walked in during Treta Yuga," to defeat Black Sword and save humanity.

Meanwhile, Teja's already locked in another biggie, he's reuniting with Prasanth Varma, reportedly Zombie Reddy 2, backed by People Media Factory and scheduled for January 2027. But for now, all eyes are on Mirai, directed by Karthik Ghattamaneni, which is gearing up for a pan-Indian release.

Kalki 2898 AD is helmed by director Nag Ashwin and the film’s sequel is currently in the works. The second part is set to reunite the film’s starcast of Amitabh Bachchan, Kamal Haasan, Deepika Padukone and the film’s leading man, Prabhas.
