The Madras High Court has restrained singer Keneeshaa Francis from making defamatory remarks against actor Ravi Mohan’s estranged wife, Aarti Ravi, following legal action initiated by the latter.

The order comes amid social media chatter after screenshots allegedly showing Keneeshaa making defamatory remarks about Aarti, while responding to comments under few of her posts, began circulating online, sparking widespread debate and discussion.

Keneeshaa Francis, who is also a spiritual therapist, joined hands with actor Ravi Mohan as a partner at Ravi Mohan Studios last year. The singer continues to be spotted alongside the actor at many social and religious events even as the actor's personal life continues to remain under scrutiny for months, with his marriage to Aarti caught in a contentious legal battle. While Keneeshaa and Ravi Mohan have not confirmed their relationship publicly, the duo have often expressed their admiration for each other.

Aarti, who resides with their two sons, has largely stayed out of the public eye apart from sharing a few cryptic statements on Ravi Mohan and Keneeshaa.

On the work front, Ravi Mohan, who was last seen in Sudha Kongara-Sivakarthikeyan's Parasakthi, which was released earlier this year, has Karathey Babu and Genie awaiting release. His debut production Bro Code has been locked in a legal battle over its title and is yet to get an update. The actor has also recently turned a director with An Ordinary Man, headlined by Yogi Babu, which is currently in production.
