Earlier, we reported about Jayam Ravi publicly declaring that he has ended his relationship with his wife Aarti through a divorce procedure. However, Aarti has now come up with a statement where she described the "public announcement" as "saddening" and "shocking". She also implied that Jayam Ravi did not handle the "significant matter" with "the grace, respect, and privacy that it deserves."

In the statement, she added, "For some time, I have sought several opportunities to speak directly with my husband, hoping to have an open dialogue in a manner that honours the commitment we made to one another and to our family. Sadly, that opportunity was not afforded to me, leaving both my children and me completely blindsided by this announcement. The decision to walk out of our marriage is purely one sided and does not benefit our family."

Describing it as a "false public narrative" and "unfounded allegations," Aarti said that it has "unfairly placed blame on" her and "subjected" her "character to attacks."

Jayam Ravi and Aarti, the daughter of noted television producer Sujatha Vijayakumar, tied the knot in 2009, and have two children Aarav and Ayaan. Aarav starred in the film Tik Tik Tik as Jayam Ravi's on-screen son.

On the work front, Jayam Ravi, last seen in Siren written and directed by Antony Bhagyaraj, is awaiting the release of Brother, directed by M Rajesh. He also has Genie and Kadhalika Neramillai in the pipeline.
