Recently, we reported about Kenishaa Francis saying that director Sudha Kongara's Parasakthi would run in theatres only because of Ravi Mohan's performance in it. After watching the film, the singer, who is rumoured to be in a relationship with Ravi, said that she did not notice any bigger talent in it. "He is Number One," she said about Ravi Mohan in the film. The other day, Kenishaa appeared in a video on Instagram to clarify her statement. Describing the online discourse around her statement as "a small little banter," the singer said, "I am really sorry if I have offended anybody. It was not may intention. I genuinely would love your understanding for Tamil. I am still learning how to put sentences together, think in Tamil, do things in Tamil... I am still learning and would love your understanding there."
Kenishaa Francis added that she stated "so much more about the movie and the people" involved in it in the media interaction, suggesting that those portions did not get shared on social media. "I have been close to every cast member and every technician on the set and I have seen their labour and creativity and I am in absolute awe of the human beings they are," she said. "I love what Sudha has done, how she thinks and what she has done this movie."
Kenishaa also wished success for Ravi Mohan's actor friends for their films that would release this Pongal or anytime soon. "That includes "Thalapathi Vijay because I love him," the singer said. She also reiterated her love and admiration for Ravi Mohan's performance in the film, having been part of his journey with the film leading up to its release and knowing what his life expectations are. "To see him on that screen, like rip it up... It was a huge moment of pride and ecstasy for me, and I did not think I would see something like that come out of him. So, I had indefinite pride in him, and I still will."
Kenishaa reiterated her statement about Ravi Mohan being the best in her perspective and that this will always be the case. The singer also suggested that she is not a film industry person to have a nuanced opinion about anyone involved in it. "I am not an actor and am not anything to do with this industry, and I cannot have an opinion about anybody. That is the actual truth. I am a psychologist, I do not judge and do not indulge in this kind of banter. So I would love to ask you to give me your heart," Kenishaa Francis said. Kenishaa also said that she plans to focus on her music career and wished everyone a Happy Pongal.
