We had recently reported that Suriya 46, directed by Venky Atluri, has been titled Vishwanath & Sons. The film has been set for release in July and has stirred massive anticipation among fans for its storyline as Suriya will be returning to play the lead in a family drama after a long time. Radikaa Sarathkumar, who portrays a key role in the film, has now shared details regarding it and heaped praise on Mamitha Baiju's performance in it.

Speaking to Chitra Lakshmanan in his channel Touring Talkies, Radikaa explained how she was extremely impressed with the script of Vishwanath & Sons when she heard it from the Lucky Baskhar director and went onto explain the importance of Mamitha's character in it. "When I heard the story, I told the director that it was very good, but it is important to find the right female lead. Only when her performance is well done, the film will be successful. He assured me he would find the right person for it. Later, we were asked to rehearse a scene together. When Mamitha acted in the scene, I told the director that he made a good choice," she explained.

"Her grasp on the craft is impressive and she does it with ease. She has previously acted as supporting roles in many films and now, seeing her rise to become a female lead is very laudable," Radikaa added.

Recently, Venky Atluri revealed that Suriya's character in the film is similar to the actor's Sanjay Ramaswamy in 2005's Ghajini, something which producer Naga Vamsi confirmed a few days ago. Naga Vamsi is producing the film under his Sithara Entertainments banner in association with Sai Soujanya's Fortune Four Cinemas. He also said that the film will "explore relationships, love and emotions between a 45-year-old man (Suriya) and a 20-year-old woman (Mamitha Baiju)."

Apart from Suriya, Mamitha Baiju and Radikaa, Vishwanath & Sons also stars Bhavani Sre and senior Bollywood actor Raveena Tandon portraying key roles. It is to be noted that Raveena Tandon is acting in a Tamil film after 24 years, with her last project being Kamal Haasan's Aalavandhan (2001).

On the technical team, GV Prakash will be scoring the music for Suriya 46. He is reuniting with Venky Atluri for the third time after Vaathi (2023) and Lucky Baskhar (2024). This is also the composer's second film with Suriya after Soorarai Pottru (2020). The technical crew also includes editor Navin Nooli and cinematographer Nimish Ravi.

Meanwhile, Radikaa Sarathkumar is currently basking in the limelight for her performance in her recent drama Thaai Kizhavi, directed by Sivakumar Murugesan. Also starring Singam Puli, Arul Doss, Munishkanth, Bala Saravanan, Ilavarasu, Muthukumar, George Maryan, and Raichal Rabecca, the film is presented by Sivakarthikeyan's SK Productions. It has earned over Rs 20 crores in collections at the Indian box office and received rave reviews from audiences and critics.
