Looks like the cast and crew of Silambarasan-Vetri Maaran's much-anticipated film Arasan is continuing to film all major portions of the movie at night. The actor and the team have now announced that they have wrapped a "big schedule" of the film. "Time to recharge, recover, see some daylight, and get ready for what comes next," wrote Silambarasan while sharing a video where the Viduthalai filmmaker was seen narrating a scene to the actor. In the backdrop, the crew celebrated completing the schedule with the actor showing a thumbs up on screen.
It was only recently that Silambarasan mentioned about burning the midnight oil for Arasan. He wrote on his Instagram handle how his "circadian rhythm is officially confused" after two months of continuous night shoots. The production for the actioner is going on in full swing and with the intense schedules, excitement and expectations for the movie are sky high.
While it has been confirmed that Vijay Sethupathi is set to play a cop, Andrea Jeremiah and Samuthirakani are reprising their roles from the Vada Chennai universe playing their iconic characters Chandra and Guna. Tourist Family-fame Yogalakshmi, who also plays a key role in the film, had recently confirmed her casting as Silambarasan's love interest during an awards show. Kishore is also expected to mark his return in Arasan. Additionally, Yogi Babu and Jibin Gopinath will play pivotal roles in the film.
Although they exist in the same universe, Dhanush's character Anbu is not a part of Arasan. The film's screenplay is an iteration of the one the filmmaker had written for Vada Chennai when Silambarasan was in line to star in it. While plot details are currently under wraps, the makers describe it as “an untold tale from the world of Vada Chennai".
Kalaipuli S Thanu is producing the film under his V Creations banner. It brings composer-singer Anirudh together with Silambarasan and director Vetri Maaran for the first time. The makers of Arasan are aiming for a theatrical release on Deepavali.
