Yuvan Shankar Raja onboard Aishwarya Rajinikanth's next as music composer

The upcoming yet-to-be-titled film will mark Aishwarya Rajinikanth's second collaboration with Yuvan Shankar Raja after Vai Raja Vai

On Thursday, we reported that Aishwarya Rajinikanth's next directorial is set to be backed by the Kannan Ravi Group, who recently backed Jiiva's Pongal hit, Thalaivar Thambi Thalaimaiyil. On Friday, the makers announced that Yuvan Shankar Raja is set to compose music for the film.

The upcoming yet-to-be-titled film will mark Aishwarya Rajinikanth's second collaboration with Yuvan Shankar Raja after Vai Raja Vai, starring Gautham Karthik and Priya Anand in lead roles.

Aishwarya made her debut as a director with the psychological drama 3 (2012). She then went on to make Vai Raja Vai (2015) and Lal Salaam (2024), with her father, Rajinikanth, making an extended cameo appearance in the latter. She also made a documentary about stuntpersons in the Tamil film industry, titled Cinema Veeran (2017).

The film, which marks KRG Group's Production No. 9, is planned as a grand multilingual release in Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, Kannada, and Hindi. The makers also billed the film as a "wholesome and sure-shot entertainer". More details about the film, including the cast, extended crew, plot, genre, and release date, are awaited.

Meanwhile, Yuvan Shankar Raja's most recent film album is Kombuseevi. Some of his upcoming films as composer include director Ram's Yezhu Kadal Yezhu Malai, Jiiva and M Rajesh's Jolliya Iruntha Oruthan, and Silambarasan's STR 50 helmed by Desingh Periyasamy.
