Actor Rajisha Vijayan, who plays a key role as Dhruv Vikram's older sister in Mari Selvaraj’s upcoming film Bison, was full of admiration for her co-stars and the filmmaker at the pre-release event held on Sunday. The film, starring Dhruv Vikram, Anupama Parameswaran, Lal, Ameer, and Pasupathy, is all set to hit theatres on October 17 as one of the big Deepavali releases this year.

Speaking about her co-star Anupama Parameswaran, Rajisha said, “Anupama is such a big star, working across the Telugu, Tamil, and Malayalam industries. Yet, she has absolutely no ego. Even though I’m not the female lead, Mari sir has included me in all the interviews and promotions, and Anupama has never once made me feel like I was taking away her spotlight. She truly deserves applause for that kind of nature.”

Rajisha also spoke fondly about their on-screen and off-screen friendship. “Our characters in Bison are best friends, and that bond has extended beyond the film as well. Anupama is such a wonderful co-star, and I’ll always cherish the friendship we built while shooting for this film,” she added.

The actor was equally effusive in her praise for Dhruv Vikram, who headlines Bison. “With Bison, a star is born. The hard work and dedication that this boy has put into the film, and the way he has transformed into the protagonist that Mari sir envisioned, is beyond words. After this film’s release, Tamil cinema is going to get a new superstar, someone who not only looks the part but can truly act,” Rajisha said, drawing loud cheers from the audience.

Rajisha also took a moment to express her deep admiration for Mari Selvaraj. “Beyond cinema, beyond ‘action’ and ‘cut’, I’ve developed a genuine friendship with Mari sir. And on this stage, with all my heart, I want to request him to please cast me in his next film,” she said, laughing.

Helmed by Mari Selvaraj, Bisonwill share the Deepavali weekend with Pradeep Ranganathan’s Dudeand Harish Kalyan’s Diesel.
