Nelson, currently immersed in the making of Superstar Rajinikanth’s Jailer 2, recently opened up at the Galatta Golden Stars 2025 event about his upcoming film, his playful link to the mysterious “Heisenberg”, and his long-time admiration for Vijay Sethupathi.

Speaking about Jailer 2, Nelson kept things guarded. “From what I have written as a script, we liked it. I can’t say anything about the film’s outcome until the shooting is over. But I hope the fans will like it too,” he said, hinting at the careful optimism surrounding the project.

The filmmaker also addressed an internet theory that he is the mysterious lyricist “Heisenberg”—a name that Lokesh Kanagaraj has consistently credited in his films. “When I spoke to Lokesh, he laughed and said, ‘Everyone thinks you’re Heisenberg. But I’m not that Heisenberg. My guess is that it’s Lokesh,’” Nelson quipped, drawing laughter from the audience.

Also present at the event was Vijay Sethupathi, who showered praise on Nelson’s craft. “I really like Nelson’s writing style. The way he writes characters is unique. I have watched Jailer 6 to 8 times. That film is one of my favourites. I am waiting for Jailer 2,” the actor said, sparking more anticipation among fans.

Nelson, in turn, expressed his admiration for Sethupathi and a strong desire to collaborate with him. “I love Vijay Sethupathi sir a lot. My wish is to work with him in every film I do. Even Anirudh has told me, ‘You should definitely do a film with Vijay Sethupathi.’ It will happen soon,” he revealed.
