Initially, Ajith tries to stop Shalini from showing such respect, but the latter would soon fall on his feet for his blessings. Ajith soon quipped, "I would have to do the same after we reach home."

The video, seemingly captured from a temple that the couple visited recently, has grabbed the attention of netizens. Some of them are describing Ajith and Shalini with words such as 'cute', 'adorable', 'beautiful', and so forth.

Ajith and Shalini collaborated only in one film so far in their careers: Amarkalam. The duo fell in love on the sets of the 1999 film, directed by Saran, and got married in the subsequent year. Shalini retired from acting after her marriage with Ajith, citing the unpredictable schedule that came with the job as a potential deterrent to a successful marital life. In a recent India Today exclusive, Ajith publicly credited Shalini for making "sacrifices" and taking a "backseat" in her career to support him.
