In preparation for the Asian Le Mans Series, actor and racer Ajith Kumar's team, Ajith Kumar Racing, has announced that racer Narain Karthikeyan will be joining the team.
In an official announcement on social media, it was stated that the Ajith Kumar Racing team will participate in the Asian Le Mans Series with its new member, Narain.
Welcoming the 48-year-old racer into his team, Ajith Kumar said, "It’s truly a privilege to have Narain join the team. Racing alongside him is an honour. With Narain, this Asian Le Mans Series is something very special for all of us.”
Remarking on his long-time friendship with Ajith Kumar, Narain said he is excited to join his team for the Le Mans. “I’ve known Ajith for many years, and it’s great to see him now racing cars at a professional level. I’m excited to partner with him in the upcoming Asian Le Mans Series and look forward to an incredible journey ahead.”
Narain made his racing debut in the Indian Formula Maruti in 1992. Since then, he has achieved notable success, finishing in first place on several occasions, including the British Formula Ford Winter Series in 1994, Formula Asia in 1996, the Korea Super Prix in 1999, and the Super GT x DTM Dream Race in 2019.
He has been a part of the Formula One races in 2005, 2006, 2011 and 2012.
The Asian Le Mans Series is inspired by the renowned 24-hour endurance race held in Le Mans, France.
