Actor Ajith Kumar has released a statement on completing 33 years in the film industry. Ajith Kumar who appeared in the 1990 film, En Veedu En Kanavar made his debut as a lead in the 1993 film, Amaravathi.

In the note, the actor started by mentioning that even though it is his 33rd year in this industry, he is a person who doesn't believe in numbers, as every year has been important to him. Speaking about his start in the industry the actor said, "I came into the industry without any support or recommendation. With my hard work, and my hard work only, did I enter this industry."

He paid gratitude the directors, co-stars, technical crew members, producers, distributors, theatre owners, print journalists, satellite and social media organisations for continued support and growth in his career. Ajith Kumar also thanked politicians of the Tamil Nadu government and policemen of the Tamil Nadu police force for their support.

He also thanked President Droupadi Murmu and Prime Minister Narendra Modi for conferring the Padma Bhushan on him, in this year's ceremony. He also thanked the Indian Government for the award.

Ajith Kumar also started his own racing team, named 'Ajith Kumar Racing', in 2025. In the statement, the actor also spoke at length about his time racing. The actor wrote, "I did not enter racing just for sport. Braving age limits, fear, and lots of hurdles, I entered racing to prove my zest to people who cast doubts." He added, "In the world of racing, I faced different kind of challenges. That track won't consider who you are, nor will it be forgiving. The track requires Respect, Focus and Grit! I have been beaten bloody by that track. It has thrown me off plentily. But I am still traversing and still racing."

The actor went on to thank his wife, actor Shalini, his kids, and his parents for their continued support throughout his career.

He ended the note by saying, "At a lot of instances, I haven't spoken out to the public, or made any appearances. But I will place my focus on cinema and racing, to entertain and bring joy to you all. For 33 years, you've accepted me, flaws and all. Thank you for the faith, the silence, the applause, the patience, and the love. I try to be true to myself and to you. As I pursue my motor racing career with grit and passion, I solicit the prayers and wishes from all. I hope I will make you and our nation proud."
