After a four-week run in theatres, Suriya's Retro is all set to arrive on OTT. Streaming giant Netflix has revealed that the romantic action film will hit their platform on May 31.

Directed by Karthik Subbaraj in his first collaboration with Suriya, Retro follows Paarivel 'Paari' Kannan, an orphan raised by a gangster, faces betrayal and a violent cult as he searches for his true origins, fulfils a prophecy, and tries to reunite with his lost love, Rukmini.

The film was released on May 1 to mixed reviews. Our CE review of the film read, "With several fun ideas, and an intense Suriya, the film still manages to lose its way due to its persistent focus on adding thematic layers and under-cooked social commentary."

Produced by Suriya-Jyotika's 2D Entertainment and Karthik Subbaraj's Stone Bench Films, Retro also stars Pooja Hegde as the female lead along with Jayaram, Joju George, Nassar, Prakash Raj, Sujith Shankar, Karunakaran, Tamizh, Prem Kumar, Ramachandran Durairaj, Sandeep Raj, Murugavel, and Remya Suresh, among others.

With Santhosh Narayanan as the music composer, the technical crew of the film crew comprises cinematographer Shreyaas Krishna, editor Shafique Mohamed, art director Jackson, action choreographer Kecha Khamphakdee, and costume designer Praveen Raja.
