Kunchacko Boban to star in Shahi Kabir-Kiran Das film

Kunchacko Boban has earlier worked with Shahi in Nayattu and Officer on Duty

We had earlier reported about Shahi Kabir scripting the directorial debut of editor Kiran Das. It has now been learnt that Kunchacko Boban would be headlining the film. Similar to Shahi's previous works, this film also seems to be about cops, as the makers recently released a casting call for Palakkad-based policemen interested in acting.

Shahi, a former policeman himself, scripted Joseph, Nayattu, and Officer on Duty. He also directed Ela Veezha Poonchira and this year's Ronth.

On the other hand, Kiran's notable credits as an editor include Thondimuthalum Driksakshiyum, Ishq, Joji, Jan.E.Man, Rorschach, Romancham, and Ullozhukku, among others. While Kiran has collaborated with Shahi previously on Joseph and Ela Veezha Poonchira, Kunchacko Boban worked with Shahi on Nayattu and Officer on Duty.

Kunchacko Boban will be next seen in Oru Durooha Saahacharyathil, which reunites him with Nna Thaan Case Kodu director Ratheesh Balakrishnan Poduval. Dileesh Pothan, Aavesham-fame Sajin Gopu, and Manjummel Boys director Chidambaram  also star in it.

Kunchacko Boban is also part of Mahesh Narayanan’s upcoming multistarrer, tentatively titled MMMN, and Officer on Duty director Jithu Ashraf's next.
