Soori’s Mandaadi has reached a major box-office milestone within six days of its theatrical run, crossing the Rs 50 crore mark in India net collections. The film, which has maintained strong momentum through its opening week, saw its collections dip on the first Tuesday but remained comfortably above the Rs 4 crore mark for the day.
The film has now grossed Rs 69.43 crore worldwide, including Rs 58.78 crore from India and Rs 10.65 crore from overseas. Its India net collection stands at Rs 50.25 crore after six days. On Day 6, Mandaadi recorded an India gross of Rs 5.15 crore and a net collection of Rs 4.40 crore across 3,542 shows, with an overall occupancy of 29.2%.
Tamil Nadu remained the film’s biggest contributor on Tuesday, bringing in Rs 3.50 crore of its Day 6 gross. Andhra Pradesh and Telangana contributed Rs 1.10 crore, followed by Rs 30 lakh from Karnataka, Rs 17 lakh from Kerala and Rs 8 lakh from the rest of India. The film’s India gross has now reached Rs 58.78 crore.
The Tuesday collection marks a drop from Mandaadi’s Monday gross of Rs 13.15 crore, following the film’s strong weekend run. It had collected Rs 15.25 crore on Sunday, its highest single-day gross so far, before settling at Rs 13.15 crore on Monday.
Mandaadi has also opened up a substantial lead over Sardar 2 in the first six days. According to Sacnilk, the Karthi-starrer has collected Rs 13.64 crore net in India by Day 6, compared to Mandaadi’s Rs 50.25 crore. Sardar 2 has earned Rs 54 lakh net on its sixth day, while Mandaadi added Rs 4.40 crore on Tuesday.
With the film now inching towards Rs 100 crore, Mandaadi enters the latter part of its first week with its theatrical run continuing to generate substantial numbers.
