Divyenndu, who was recently seen in the web series Glory, is making his Telugu debut with the much-anticipated Ram Charan starrer Peddi that releases on June 4. The actor was present in Hyderabad at a big-scale promotional event that was held for the film. On the occasion, the actor expressed his surprise at his massive popularity in Hyderabad even before Peddi's theatrical release.
Talking about the immense love he received from fans in Hyderabad, Divyenndu said, "I knew that Mirzapur had performed well in Telugu but it was Ram sir who first told me just how big the love was in Hyderabad. I truly experienced it while shooting the film.”
Recalling the specific instance when he felt the overwhelming love, Divyenndu noted, “There was a cricket sequence with a large crowd and the way people reacted when they saw me made me realise there was no exaggeration at all. What touched me the most was how openly people expressed their affection. They came up to me and said things like, ‘We have seen your work’ and ‘We really like you.’ That kind of genuine appreciation gives you a lot of confidence. Since this is my first Telugu film, receiving such love and encouragement has been a tremendous boost."
Directed by Buchi Babu Sana, Peddi has a massive ensemble with actors like Janhvi Kapoor, Jagapathi Babu, and Shivarajkumar onboard. Shruti Haasan has a special appearance in a song of the film, with music by AR Rahman.
Meanwhile, Divyenndu has in pipeline Mirzapur: The Movie, which is currently scheduled for September 2026 release.
Incidentally, the Mirzapur actor also completes 15 years in the industry — his debut Pyaar Ka Punchnama released in May 2011 and was a breakout hit.
