After this year's mystery thriller Dridam, Shane Nigam has started filming for his next film, written and directed by Sham Surya, in the scenic hill station of Yercaud. Filmmaker Sham Surya is known for directing the 2021 Harbhajan Singh-Arjun-Losliya Mariyanesan starrer Friendship alongside John Paul Raj. The yet-untitled projects marks the second production venture of TRU Stories Entertainment. It also stars Sathyaraj, John Kokken, Farhaan Faasil, Pooja Ramachandran, Aysha, and Munishkanth.
The film brings Sathyaraj back to Malayalam cinema after a role in 2023's Otta. Munishkanth, meanwhile, had an uncredited role in Alphonse Puthren's 2013 film Neram, co-starring Nivin Pauly and Nazriya Nazim.
The film has begun production after a pooja ceremony. The makers are yet to offer further information about the project, although they hinted at a mystery film in the announcement post. It read, "What if the future isn't a mystery after all? A twist of fate, a trail of mystery!"
On the technical front, the yet-to-be-titled film has eminent filmmaker Aashiq Abu as the cinematographer, B Ajaneesh Loknath of Kantara fame as the composer, editor Sreejith Sarang, art director Veeramani Ganesan, action choreographer PC Stunts, and costume designer A Kavitha. Vishal Vincent Tony is producing the film through his TRU Stories Entertainment banner. The film brings Aashiq Abu back together with TRU Stories Entertainment after 2024's Rifle Club, which he has not only directed but has also shot as a cinematographer.
The makers will announce further details about the film’s title, story, additional cast members and so forth in due course.
