Suhana Khan, who made her debut with the 2023 film The Archies, will soon be seen again in Siddharth Anand’s next titled King, which stars her father Shah Rukh Khan. During a recent interview, Suhana recalled her first professional rejecting, and what it taught her about herself.
Speaking to Harper’s Bazaar, Suhana recounted an occasion during her boarding school days - a phase when her interest in acting became more serious - when she auditioned for a play, hoping to be cast in a certain prominent part. However, Suhana was eventually cast as part of the chorus instead. Recalling that phase of disappointment, Suhana shared that she would cry alone in her room. She added, “I was so upset and disappointed. And I think that’s when I knew that I really wanted to play those parts and enjoy the thrill of being on stage.”
Among other subjects, Suhana also spoke about how both her father and mother contrast each other in their advice, explaining how Shah Rukh offers layered reflections on life, while Gauri offers advice with blunt clarity.
Meanwhile, King is tentatively slated for a theatrical release in late 2026. Produced by Red Chillies Entertainer, the action-entertainer boasts a massive ensemble cast with names like Anil Kapoor, Rani Mukerji, Raghav Juyal, Jaideep Ahlawat, Deepika Padukone, Jackie Shroff, Abhishek Bachchan, and Abhay Verma. The title reveal of the film was done on November 2, on Shah Rukh’s birthday.
