Speaking to Firstpost, Turner, while discussing international cinema, expressed her admiration for Indian actors, calling Shah Rukh Khan "the GOAT" and praising Deepika Padukone as "amazing". Turner said she also enjoyed watching RRR. The actor further expressed her eagerness to explore Bollywood, noting that she would love to be part of a Hindi film, especially for its dance, visual spectacle, and distinctive production design, which she described as unlike anything seen on Western film sets.
Though Sophie is yet to work in Indian cinema, she visited India in 2018 for the wedding celebrations of Nick Jonas and Priyanka Chopra, an event that brought together global celebrities and leading Bollywood stars.
