The maiden season of The Traitors India concluded on Thursday (July 3). Social media influencer Uorfi Javed and professional poker payer Nikita Luther were crowned winners for the first season of the reality show.

The Traitors India, a local adaptation of IDTV’s BAFTA and Emmy Award-winning global format that is produced by BBC Studios India Productions, brought together 20 celebrity players, including Anshula Kapoor, Apoorva, Ashish Vidyarthi, Elnaaz Nourouzi, Harsh Gujral, Jannat Zubair, Janvi Gaur, Jasmine Bhasin, Karan Kundrra, Lakshmi Manchu, Maheep Kapoor, Mukesh Chhabra, Nikita Luther, Purav Jha, Raftaar, Raj Kundra, Sahil Salathia, Sudhanshu Pandey, Sufi Motiwala, and Uorfi Javed, who signed up for a game where trust was a trap and betrayal the ultimate strategy.

Talking about her win, Uorfi, said, “The Traitors was the wildest rollercoaster I’ve ever been on—emotionally, psychologically, and physically draining in every way possible. It made me question everything and everyone, and yet somehow still helped me find my strength. People saw me as the wild card, the chaos—but I brought heart, instincts, and honesty to the game. Winning The Traitors isn’t just about surviving—it’s about standing in a room full of betrayal and still being unafraid to speak my truth.”

Nikita added, “I came into The Traitors with a strategy rooted in logic and people-reading, but this game throws curveballs no one can prepare for. The twists and turns are constant, and the only way to survive is to keep adapting. There were moments when it felt like I was one decision away from being out of the game, but Uorfi and I held the line.”

Host Karan Johar, who led the season, shared his thoughts on the finale, “The Traitors was everything we hoped it would be—explosive, emotional, totally unpredictable, and wildly entertaining. Watching the players navigate betrayal, strategy, and sheer instinct has been a masterclass in human psychology. Uorfi and Nikita may come from different worlds, but together, they cracked the game’s biggest question—who can you trust when trust is the only currency?”
