Social media influencers Uorfi Javed and Apoorva Makhija are having an online clash over their heated argument in the reality show, The Traitors, which started streaming on Prime Video from June 12.
The two were seen getting into an argument on the show as Apoorva snapped at Uorfi when she asked her the reason for her crying. Apoorva shared her side of the story in a YouTube video recently. Uorfi then took to Instagram stories on Monday to talk about the incident in detail.
She said, “She is painting me like a villain, which I am not. I am literally shivering right now. I'll tell you what happened. One day before, Jannat was crying for her parents, tabhi Apoorva mujhse bolti hai 'Kya ye parents ke liye ro rahi hai, kya ye pagalpanti hai (why is she crying for her parents? What’s this stupidity?).' The next day when she started crying, I went to her nicely to ask what had happened. It's an insecurity of me, I have been disrespected so much on the internet for years.”
She added, “So when she shouted at me and snapped at me in front of everyone, I just felt really disrespected, and of course it was my ego. Mere ego ke wajah se jo hua (It happened due to my ego), whatever I spoke, maybe I shouldn't have said those words. But, maybe I too demand respect, and it's an insecurity. I don't really care, and I don't know why is it affecting me so much. The hate on the internet has never really affected me, but for some reason I don't know what's happening."
The Traitors is an Indian adaptation of the international reality show which also features Anshula Kapoor, Ashish Vidyarthi, Elnaaz Nourouzi, Harsh Gujral, Jannat Zubair, Janvi Gaur, Jasmine Bhasin, Karan Kundrra, Lakshmi Manchu, Maheep Kapoor, Mukesh Chhabra, Nikita Luther, Purav Jha, Raftaar, Raj Kundra, Sahil Salathia, Sudhanshu Pandey and Sufi Motiwala as they try to deceive each other in this battle of will and wit.
