With just two days left for the release of Spider-Man: Brand New Day in India, the hype for the film is at an all-time high. Marvel Studios has now taken the anticipation to another level by announcing that the Avengers: Doomsday trailer will be screened alongside the fourth film in the Tom Holland Spider-Man franchise.
Helmed by Destin Daniel Cretton, Spider-Man: Brand New Day sees the return of Tom Holland as the friendly neighbourhood superhero alongside Zendaya's MJ and Jacob Batalon's Ned. Also joining Holland this time around are the Punisher (Jon Bernthal), the Hulk (Mark Ruffalo), and Sadie Sink in an undisclosed role, among others.
Brand New Day kicks off after the events of No Way Home after the world has forgotten the identity of Peter Parker as Spider-Man. Chris McKenna and Erik Sommers have written the upcoming film.
Meanwhile, Brand New Day comes five months before Avengers: Doomsday, setting the tone for what is to come in yet another superhero reunion. Doomsday, helmed by the Russo Brothers, sees the return of Robert Downey Jr, donning the green suit instead of the red, playing Dr Victor Von Doom.
Downey Jr is joined by Chris Evans, Chris Hemsworth, and Tom Hiddleston from the original Avengers world. The film will also see a collaboration between Wakandans, the Fantastic Four, the X-Men, and other superheroes. The ensemble cast comprises Pedro Pascal, Paul Rudd, Anthony Mackie, Florence Pugh, Vanessa Kirby, Ebon Moss-Bachrach, Wyatt Russell, Channing Tatum, Simu Liu, Ian McKellen, Tom Hiddleston, James Marsden, Patrick Stewart, Joseph Quinn, Sebastian Stan, David Harbour, Letitia Wright, Lewis Pullman, Kelsey Grammer, Kathryn Newton, Danny Ramirez, Winston Duke, Alan Cumming, Hannah John-Kamen, Rebecca Romijn, and Mabel Cadena, with Tenoch Huerta Mejia.
Avengers: Doomsday is slated for release on December 18.
