On Tuesday, Marvel Studios did a surprise drop of the Avengers: Endgame re-release trailer. The trailer featured the audience's reaction from the first show of the film, precisely when Captain America says, "Avengers, Assemble".

Titled Avengers: Endgame Encore, the trailer also shows the crux of Endgame, with the superheroes splitting into teams, travelling across time, and doing their best to defeat Thanos. Marvel Studios also announced that an exclusive footage from Avengers: Doomsday will be screened alongside Avengers: Endgame Encore, further exciting fans.

Avengers: Endgame Encore will hit theatres on September 25, less than 3 months before Doomsday. The re-release includes about four to seven minutes of new or bonus material. It features a custom introduction and a new post-credits scene. The added content connects the end of Endgame directly to Doomsday.

It is currently unknown for how long the window will be in theatres. Avengers: Endgame was the 22nd film of the MCU, and it bid goodbye to the founding Avengers: Captain America, Iron Man, Hawkeye, Black Widow, Hulk and Thor.

Directed by the Russo brothers, who have also helmed Doomsday, Endgame featured an ensemble cast that includes Robert Downey Jr., Chris Evans, Mark Ruffalo, Chris Hemsworth, Scarlett Johansson, Jeremy Renner, Don Cheadle, Paul Rudd, Brie Larson, Karen Gillan, Danai Gurira, Benedict Wong, Jon Favreau, Bradley Cooper, Gwyneth Paltrow, and Josh Brolin.

In the film, the Avengers and their allies team up together to defeat Thanos and his actions in Infinity War, which erased half of all life in the universe. Surpassing $2.8 billion in global box office numbers, Endgame broke several box office records, surpassing Avatar's (2009) collections. It held the coveted position of the highest-grossing film of all time from July 2019 to March 2021.

Robert Downey Jr, whose stint as the Iron Man came to an end in Endgame, is back to Marvel as Doctor Doom and will face off against the Avengers, Wakandans, the Fantastic Four, the New Avengers, and the X-Men. Endgame's re-release is aimed at bringing back fans to theatres to experience the final chapter of the MCU, which ended several main characters' story arcs. Doomsday is scheduled for release on December 18.
