Manchu Manoj, who is working on multiple projects, celebrated his birthday on May 20 with several updates from his upcoming films, being unveiled one after another. One of them was the release of the teaser for David Reddy.

Directed by Hanuma Reddy Yakkanti, the film is being produced by Nallagangula Venkat Reddy and Bharat Motukuri under the banners Velvet Soul Motion Pictures and True Radix.

Set during the British colonial era between 1897 and 1920, David Reddy is mounted as a pan-India action drama in Telugu, Hindi, Tamil, Malayalam, and Kannada languages. The teaser presents a visually rich cinematic world with grand production values and intense action sequences.

The story revolves around David Reddy, a fierce man who chooses violence to fight against British oppression, unlike Mahatma Gandhi’s path of non-violence. The teaser shows him fearlessly attacking British forces who torture innocent Indians. British officials are seen discussing the threat posed by David Reddy, while national leaders like Jawaharlal Nehru and Subash Chandra Bose also become aware of his growing influence.

The teaser also raises curiosity by questioning why a man protecting innocent people would eventually betray his own country. At one point, British officers even refer to him as “Rakshas Reddy,” underlining his terrifying reputation.

Manchu Manoj impresses with his rugged look and powerful screen presence, while the action sequences stand out as the teaser’s biggest highlight. The film is gearing up for a grand theatrical release during the Dussehra season.
