Actor-producer Samantha has been basking in the success of her latest film Maa Inti Bangaram, directed by BV Nandini Reddy and backed by her husband and noted producer Raj Nidimoru. In her ongoing promotional tour for the action entertainer, Samantha's poignant relationship advice caught the attention of her fans who were quick to draw a comparison with what Sobhita Dhulipala said at the time of her wedding.
During a recent conversation where Raj was also present, Samantha shared the importance of focusing on oneself and growing as an individual before entering into a relationship. "Career and your relationship are in your hands. But sometimes, relationships are complicated and it's not always in your control. It takes two people to make a relationship work. So, what I have understood is that, as a woman, you need to have confidence in yourself and be complete as a person," she said.
She further added, "At one point, you will find the right person. But if you look for someone else to complete you or wait for that person to complete you, then, it won't go well. This is because expectations will increase on the opposite end. That's not right." Stating this, Samantha stressed on the need for working upon oneself and "complete themselves" before getting into a relationship.
While her words struck a chord with the audiences and went viral on social media, many fans were quick to compare it with a statement from Sobhita Dhulipala where talks on the same topic. "I believe that a person is incomplete and someone else comes in and fills the void...Because I think we are complete on our own. And yet, in his absence, I would not be full," the Made in Heaven star said during the time of her wedding with Naga Chaitanya in 2024.
Many on the internet deduced that Samantha might have taken an indirect subtle dig at Sobhita's words, while the others shared how they felt that it was an honest statement.
On the work front, Samantha, who recently confirmed her pregnancy, has announced that she will be taking a brief "maternity break" during the course of her pregnancy and childbirth, before returning to sign other movies.
Sobhita on the other hand is awaiting the release of Pa Ranjith's much-anticipated Vettuvam, which also stars VR Dinesh and Arya in leading roles.
