Another small film, Pallaburusu, is all set to hit theatres on August 14. Uday Chauhan is making his directorial debut with this quirky entertainer set against the backdrop of rural Telangana. A few days ago, the makers released the folk song 'Kotha Soku', which received a good response. Now, actor Naga Chaitanya has unveiled the film's teaser, which offers an entertaining glimpse into its quirky world.
The film has also received a major boost after Annapurna Studios came on board to present and produce it alongside EPIC Studios. With the encouraging response to the song, the makers have now released the much-awaited teaser, which has further raised expectations for the film.
The teaser opens with the protagonist brushing his teeth using a traditional neem stick when a few villagers ask him, "Pallaburusu (toothbrush) teledaa?" The unusual question immediately grabs attention and sets the tone for the film's offbeat humour. As the teaser progresses, it introduces several quirky characters, humorous situations and unexpected moments, while keeping the mystery surrounding Pallaburusu intact.
Packed with comedy, emotions and rooted storytelling, the teaser promises a refreshing entertainer with a strong Telangana flavour. The village backdrop, local dialect and colourful characters give the film a distinct identity, making it look like an authentic rural entertainer.
In recent times, several small-budget films such as Little Hearts, The Great Pre-Wedding Show, Raju Weds Rambai and a few others have performed well at the box office. Backed by strong content and proper distribution, these films turned out to be profitable ventures. The makers of Pallaburusu are hoping for a similar response, especially after Annapurna Studios came on board to support the project.
With Naga Chaitanya launching the teaser, the film has gained additional momentum, and the promo is already receiving an encouraging response on social media. Starring Sudhakar Reddy and Muralidhar Goud in the lead roles, Pallaburusu is directed by debutant Uday Chauhan and jointly produced by Annapurna Studios and EPIC Studios. The film is scheduled for a worldwide theatrical release on August 14.
