After a massive box office success, Samantha's action drama Maa Inti Bangaram has locked its OTT premiere date. Directed by BV Nandini Reddy, the film recently created history by becoming the first female-led Telugu film to gross over Rs 100 crore worldwide

Last seen in Kushi (2023), opposite Vijay Deverakonda, she took a break from Telugu cinema, and returned with renewed confidence and delivered one of the biggest hits of her career. The film was met with rave reviews upon release on June 19 with many calling it a mighty comeback for the actor.

Besides Samantha, Maa Inti Bangaram also stars Gulshan Devaiah, Diganth Manchale, and Gauthami in key roles. The film follows Swarna (Samantha), a newlywed who tries to fit into her husband’s traditional rural family. While pretending to be a typical housewife, she secretly hides a violent past as an assassin. When a ruthless criminal from her former life resurfaces, she must protect the family that previously doubted her.

An excerpt from our CE review of the film reads, "Samantha is the biggest strength of the film. It is completely a one-woman show as she carries the entire movie on her shoulders. This is definitely one of her best performances in recent times and adds another memorable role to her career. More than anything, Samantha is the biggest attraction of the film as every major emotion revolves around her character. She handles the action sequences with ease, especially the bus fight scene."

The film is backed by Samantha under Tralala Moving Pictures. Her husband Raj Nidimoru is co-producing the film alongside Himank Duvvuru. It has music by Santhosh Narayanan.

Maa Inti Bangaram is slated for a release on JioHotstar on July 17.
