Pawan Kalyan fans woke up today expecting fireworks at exactly 10:08 AM, the promised time for the trailer launch of They Call Him OG. Instead, they were greeted with a curveball from the makers. In a last-minute announcement, DVV Entertainment confirmed that the trailer will now drop only during the grand OG Concert (the pre-release event) this evening.

The news has left admirers of Pawan Kalyan both restless and a tad annoyed, with many taking to social media to vent. After all, with only four days left for release, expectations were sky-high for a morning treat.

The evening event itself will reportedly keep things tight, featuring Pawan Kalyan and the OG team, with no outside celebrity guests. That puts all eyes on the trailer, which is expected to showcase Kalyan’s blistering action sequences, Ravi K Chandran’s cinematography and, of course, the much-awaited Thaman’s pulsating score.

Directed by Sujeeth, OG is a period gangster drama that shows Kalyan in a never-seen-before avatar as Ojas Gambheera. Emraan Hashmi steps into the villain’s shoes as Omi Bhau, while Priyanka Mohan plays the female lead. The supporting cast is nothing short of stacked, featuring Prakash Raj, Sriya Reddy, Arjun Das, Shaam and Harish Uthaman.

Backed by DVV Entertainment with a high-octane technical crew, including cinematographers Ravi K Chandran and Manoj Paramahamsa, OG is shaping up as one of the year’s biggest Telugu releases. The songs already out have done their job, building anticipation to fever pitch.

OG will release worldwide on September 25, with Netflix bagging the post-theatrical streaming rights for most likely a November premiere.
