Samantha is playing the lead role in the upcoming film Maa Inti Bangaram, directed by her close friend Nandini Reddy. The film is being produced by Samantha under her banner Tralala Moving Pictures, in association with Raj Nidimoru and Himank Duvvuru.
The trailer was launched at a multiplex amid huge fanfare, with hundreds of Samantha’s fans attending the event. A massive cutout of the actor was also unveiled during the celebrations.
Maa Inti Bangaram is slated to hit theatres on June 19. Popular anchor and actress Sreemukhi is also playing a key role in the film. The trailer hints at a mix of action, emotions, and family drama, while showcasing Samantha in a completely new avatar.
One of the dialogues from the trailer has already caught the audience’s attention. “But I promise one thing — I can risk anything to save my family,” says Samantha in a powerful moment.
The trailer also reveals Samantha performing intense action sequences for the first time on such a scale. Another dialogue that received loud cheers at the event was: “Whether you are a hero or a housewife, if the dialogue is right, it can scare anyone.” The trailer is packed with several punchy dialogues and emotional moments that entertained fans during the launch event.
Director Nandini Reddy clarified that the film is not a spy thriller despite some visuals hinting at an undercover operation. “This is not a spy film. There is a flashback related to Samantha’s character — why she is living with this family and what happened in her past. Audiences will understand it only when they watch the film on the big screen,” said Nandini.
She said she has always admired Samantha as an actor. “Samantha has changed a lot over the years. She is now on another level and is fantastic in every scene, whether it is comedy, emotion, or action. This film will definitely be a blast, and I assure you that it will entertain everyone,” she said.
Samantha thanked her fans for the overwhelming response to the trailer launch. “I hope all of you loved the trailer, and thanks to everyone who came here to see me,” she said.
She added that Maa Inti Bangaram contains every emotion and can be enjoyed by the entire family. “Nandini Reddy garu and Raj Nidimoru garu are perfect in every aspect. Till now, I have never had any argument or disagreement with them,” Samantha said.
According to the actor, the film blends action, drama, and comedy with strong commercial elements. “This film will definitely make all my fans proud,” she added.
Raj Nidimoru, who also attended the event, spoke about the strong bond between Samantha and Nandini Reddy. “There is love and affection in the title Maa Inti Bangaram, but on the other side, there is also darkness and possessiveness in the story. Samantha and Nandini share a very close bond, which is why we brought Nandini on board as the director for this film,” he said.
Sreemukhi revealed that she signed the film mainly because of Samantha. “The moment they told me Samantha was playing the lead, I immediately agreed without even listening to the story. Watching her perform live in action, emotional, and comedy scenes was a treat for me,” said Sreemukhi.
