The first teaser of upcoming Siddu Jonnalagadda starrer Telusu Kada was officially released on Thursday. Starring Srinidhi Shetty and Raashii Khanna as the female leads, the upcoming film is directed by Neerraja Kona who makes her directorial debut.

While it may look like a conventional love triangle on the surface, what makes Telusu Kada stand apart is the possible exploration of polyamory as a major theme. Siddu Jonnalagadda plays a young man curious to pursue a romantic relationship, while also waiting for the right girl to walk in his life. However, what awaits him is the arrival of two women who sweep him off his feet at once. After briefly establishing his budding intimacy with both Raaga (Srinidhi) and Anjali (Raashii), the teaser ends on a surprising note with Siddu proposing marriage to both of them, and later talking to his friend (Harsha Chemudu) about his intentions which are clear and yet not. There is a brief hint at exploring bisexuality in the narrative, which is a rather unique move for Telugu cinema.

Telusu Kada is produced by TG Vishwa Prasad and Krithi Prasad under People Media Factory. Thaman S is the music director for the film. The first single of the film ‘Mallika Gandha’ was released in July. On the technical side, the project has Gnana Shekhar as cinematograper, National Award-winner Navin Nooli as editor, Avinash Kolla as production designer, and Sheetal Sharma handling costumes.

Telusu Kada is scheduled as a Diwali release, arriving on October 17, and clashing with Kiran Abbavaram’s K-Ramp and Mithra Mandali which release on the same weekend.

Siddhu’s previous release was the Bhaskar directorial Jack. Srinidhi Shetty was seen previously in Nani-starrer HIT 3, which is one of few Telugu hits Raashii Khanna’s previous Telugu release was the 2022 film Thank You.
