The makers of the upcoming romantic comedy Telusu Kada released their first single, ‘Mallika Gandha,’ on Monday. Telusu Kada stars Siddu Jonnalagadda, Raashii Khanna, and Srinidhi Shetty in lead roles.
‘Mallika Gandha,’ a funky fusion-based composition, reunites Thaman S and Sid Sriram, who had last worked together for a song in Ram Pothineni starrer Skanda (2023). With lyrics from Krishna Kantha, ‘Mallika Gandha’ weaves a beautiful tapestry of sounds thats has a melody with a classical touch, and is layered with a bass-heavy arrangement.
For ‘Mallika Gandha,’ the makers also released a special song video featuring Thaman S and Sid Sriram jamming together, interspersed with visuals from the film that focus on the romance between Siddhu and Raashii’s characters.
Produced by TG Vishwa Prasad and Krithi Prasad under the People Media Factory banner, Telusu Kada marks Neeraja Kona’s transition from costume designing to direction. On the technical front, cinematography is being handled by Gnana Shekar. Navin Nooli is the editor, and Avinash Kolla is the production designer.
Also featuring Harsha Chemudu in a supporting role, the rom-com is set to be about a protagonist caught in a love triangle between two women. Telusu Kada will also mark Siddu’s first collaboration with both Raashii and Srinidhi.
The film was officially launched in October 2023. The makers are planning to release their film in October this year.
