Ram Pothineni is not just starring in Andhra King Taluka, he has turned a lyricist for the first single and now for the second, he’s now singing for it too. The makers unveiled the film’s second single, ‘Puppy Shame,’ on Monday and the buzz is all about RaPo’s surprise turn as a playback singer.

The track from Andhra King Taluka, composed by Vivek & Mervin, is a loud, cheeky celebration of what every Telugu cinema fan knows too well, the highs of a blockbuster first-day-first-show and the inevitable ribbing of rival fans. With lyrics by Bhaskarabhatla, ‘Puppy Shame’ is equal parts witty and nostalgic with a solid dance beat.

The visuals reflect this vibe too. Ram is seen with his gang in full celebration mode, joyously poking fun at rival groups while savouring the sweet taste of victory. The sequence feels less like a music video and more like a slice of fan life lifted straight from college canteens and theatre queues.

Andhra King Taluka has been shaping up as one of Ram’s most intriguing projects. Directed by Mahesh Babu P under the Mythri Movie Makers banner, the film casts Ram as a die hard cinema fan whose life takes unexpected turns. Kannada superstar Upendra plays the titular Andhra King, a larger-than-life film star, with Bhagyashri Borse paired as Ram’ romantic interest. The film is billed mainly as a love story.

Andhra King Taluka’s ensemble also features Rao Ramesh, Murali Sharma, Satya, Rahul Ramakrishna, and VTV Ganesh. The technical crew has Siddhartha Nuni on cinematography, Sreekar Prasad in the editor’s chair, and Avinash Kolla handling production design.

Produced by Naveen Yerneni and Y Ravi Shankar, and presented in association with T-Series, the film is locked for release on November 28, 2025.
