Andhra King Taluka title glimpse: Ram Pothineni plays a loud-and-proud fan of a superstar

The title and first glimpse of upcoming Ram Pothineni film were officially unveiled on Thursday. The film, that also stars Bhagyashri Borse as the female lead, is titled Andhra King Taluka.

The glimpse teaser of Andhra King Taluka establishes Ram Pothineni as a special fan of filmstar Surya Kumar, whose fandom for the actor has earned him a special respect in his town and remains his calling card. The teaser focuses on the craze for Surya’s latest film release, with people dying to buy tickets for the film, and how the fan protagonist commands a different hold on these occasions. The teaser also interestingly doesn’t use any frontal close-ups of Ram Pothineni, rather showing him in wide shots and emphasising on the fans-caused frenzy about him. The tagline for the film goes, 'Biopic of a fan.'

Directed by Mahesh Babu P, Andhra King Taluka features Upendra as Surya Kumar, who is also referred to as ‘Andhra King’ in the teaser.  Mahesh Babu P made his directorial debut 2 years ago with Miss Shetty Ms Polishetty. 

Andhra King Taluka marks Ram Pothineni’s maiden collaboration with Mythri Movie Makers banner. The film also features Rahul Ramakrishna, Rao Ramesh, Murali Sharma, Satya, and VTV Ganesh in supporting roles. The film’s music is composed by the duo Vivek–Mervin, with cinematography by Siddharth Nuni, editing by Sreekar Prasad, and production design by Avinash Kolla.
