The Christmas weekend, as far as Telugu film calendar is concerned, is getting increasingly crowded with each passing day. Yesterday, we had reported about the makers of Patang setting December 25 as the release date. Later, on Monday, Gunasekhar’s Euphoria too announced that they plan to release their film on December 25.

Euphoria is the fourth Telugu film officially set for December 25, with Roshan Meka’s Champion, Patang, and Shambhala being the other three. While they are yet to confirm, the makers of Vishwak Sen starrer Funky too are reportedly eyeing a December 25 release. 

Featuring Bhumika Chawla in a prominent role and many upcoming actors like Rohith and Aadarsh Balakrishna, Vignesh Gavireddy, and Likith Naidu in the lead cast, Euphoria promises to be a youth-oriented drama with a strong element of messaging. The film also stars Ponniyin Selvan fame Sara Arjun, Gautham Vasudev Menon, and Nassar among others in the ensemble cast.

Euphoria will also mark the return to Telugu cinema for Bhumika Chawla, who has worked in many iconic Telugu films in the early 2000s, like Kushi, Naa Autograph and Missamma. Gunasekhar, who began his filmmaking career in 1992, is known for films like Okkadu and Rudhramadevi among many others. Euphoria marks his second collaboration with Bhumika, after Okkadu. 

While Gunasekhar has penned the story and screenplay, Nagendra Kasi and Krishna Hari are credited for dialogues. Kaala Bhairava is the music composer for the film. The technical team includes Praveen K Pothan as the cinematographer and Prawin Pudi as the editor. Renowned costume designer Poojitha Tadikona is onboard as well. 

The film was officially announced last year, with a very unique-looking teaser centred on a young woman, clearly struggling with struggling abuse, hallucinating and tripping while seated in a metro train. The makers wrapped up the shoot in February 2025.
