Chandini Chowdary, who was last seen in a cameo appearance in the Balakrishna-starrer Daaku Maharaaj, is headling the comedy-drama Santhana Prapthirasthu alongwith Vikranth Reddy. On Thursday, the team resumed their film’s promotions by sharing update on new single. Titled ‘Anukundhokati Le,’ the song will be out on Saturday, October 4.
What makes the upcoming single unique is that it will have playback singing by Vennela Kishore, who is making his debut behind the mic. The makers also released a brief promo of the song, features a BTS conversation between Kishore and the composer about why they chose the popular comedian to serve as a singer for this number. Sunil Kashyap is the music director for the film.
Vennela Kishore will also be seen in a major role in Santhana Prapthirasthu, playing Dr. Bhramaram. The film’s ensemble cast includes many notable actors like Jeevan Kumar, Abhinava Gomatam, Muralidhar Goud, Sri Lakshmi, Harsha Vardhan, Bindu Chandramouli, Satya Krishna, Thagubothu Ramesh, Abhay Bethiganti, Kireeti, Anil Geela, and Saddam and popular filmmaker Tharun Bhascker.
Santhana Prapthirasthu was slated to arrive earlier this year, before makers decided to postpone the release. The first teaser of the film was unveiled in March, promising to offer a fresh narrative about a young couple navigating an unexpected challenge after marriage, as the husband finds out he has low sperm count, and vows to conceive a child with his partner (Chandini Chowdary) within 100 days.
Besides helming direction, Sanjeev Reddy has also co-written the story and screenplay with Sheikh Dawood G. Kalyan Raghav has penned the dialogues. In the technical team, Santhana Prapthirasthu has cinematography by Mahi Reddy Pandugula, editing by Sai Krishna Ganala, and production design by Shiva Kumar Macha.
Produced by Madhura Sreedhar Reddy and Nirvi Hariprasad Reddy, Santhana Prapthirasthu is yet to get a new release date.
