Santhana Prapthirasthu trailer: A defiant young man must prove his 'manhood' to his skeptical father-in-law

Chandini Chowdary and Vikranth headline the upcoming comedy-drama about the struggles of a newly married couple for family acceptance

The official trailer of Santhana Prapthirasthu was unveiled at a grand ceremony on Thursday. The upcoming comedy-drama is headlined by Chandini Chowdary and Vikranth.

The trailer begins on a light-hearted note, with the hero’s friend (Abhinav Gomatam) narrating the dilemma-filled story of his friend Chaitanya who falls in love with Kalyani (Chandini). However, the couple is met with resistance from Kalyani’s father (Muralidhar Goud) who is against the alliance. After getting married against all obstacles, the couple decides to have a baby to win the heart of Kalyani’s father. However, there is a twist in the tale — Chaitanya, after an accidental medical test, finds out about hiw low sperm count. How Chaitanya decides to tackle the situation while struggling to win his father-in-law’s approval forms the crux of the story.

The trailer also gives a better glimpse of Tharun Bhascker’s character, who plays a fierce yet emotionally sensitive thug.  The ensemble cast includes Vennela Kishore, Jeevan Kumar, Sri Lakshmi, Harsha Vardhan, Bindu Chandramouli, Satya Krishna, Thagubothu Ramesh, Kireeti, Anil Geela, and Saddam.

Sanjeev Reddy, who helms direction for Santhana Prapthirasthu, has also co-written the story and screenplay with Sheikh Dawood G. Kalyan Raghav has penned the dialogues. Sunil Kasyap has composed music for the film.

In the technical team, the film has cinematography by Mahi Reddy Pandugula, editing by Sai Krishna Ganala, and production design by Shiva Kumar Macha.

Produced by Madhura Sreedhar Reddy and Nirvi Hariprasad Reddy, Santhana Prapthirasthu is set for a theatrical release on November 14.
