The makers of Thammudu, starring Nithiin and directed by Sriram Venu, unveiled the film’s second single titled ‘Jai Bagalaamukhii’ on Tuesday. The song shows an intense devotional atmosphere, offering a glimpse into the cultural and spiritual life of the fictional village Ambaragodugu, where the story is set.

Composed by Ajaneesh Loknath, with lyrics penned by Jonnavithula Ramalingeswara Rao, the track from Thammudu is centred around the worship of Goddess Bagalamukhi. Singer Abby V renders the song with a trance-like intensity.

Thammudu, scheduled for theatrical release on July 4, follows the story of an archer (played by Nithiin) who returns to his native village to fulfil a promise made to his sister, portrayed by veteran actress Laya. The film explores themes of rural folklore, familial duty, and emotional reconciliation amid rising conflict.

Thammudu also stars Sapthami Gowda, Varsha Bollamma, Swasika, and Temper Vamsi. Produced by Dil Raju and Shirish under Sri Venkateswara Creations, the film marks the next outing from Nithiin after the underwhelming response to Robinhood. The film’s cinematography is by KV Guhan, with editing by Prawin Pudi.
