Hanu Raghavapudi’s 2013 film Andala Rakshasi will soon have a grand theatrical re-release on June 13. On the occasion, the film’s primary team, including lead actors Rahul Ravindran, Lavanya Konidela, and Naveen Chandra, are actively promoting the re-release. In one of the promotional interviews, Lavanya spoke about the unique shooting experience for the film, including a zero-makeup appearance throughout the shoot.

Lavanya, who played the role of Mithuna in Andala Rakshasi, stated, “During one of the days in the first schedule, I had put on some powder for the shoot. Hanu Raghavapudi took a picture of me, zoomed it and showed me how the powder particle showed on the screen. He got me to remove every layer of makeup for the shoot — it was difficult to run away from Hanu.”

Talking about the same, Rahul Ravindran added, “The three of us didn’t even wear sunscreen or a single layer of foundation for the shoot. It was a zero make-up look for all of us.”

Andala Rakshasi, which released in 2013, emerged as a box office hit and has attained a cult following over the years. The film was co-produced by Sai Korrapati and SS Rajamouli.

Hanu Raghavapudi, who went on to make another popular romantic drama in Sita Ramam, is working with Prabhas for his next project.
