Andhra King Taluka, the Ram Pothineni starrer slice-of-life drama about a Telugu cinema fan, finally has a release date. The film, which was officially launched in November 2024, will release exactly a year later, on November 28 this year.

In his social media post, Ram Pothineni paid homage to fans of all current Telugu stars by using their monikers — Mega, Lion, King, Victory, Rebel, and many more. He added, “Have you ever watched yourself in a movie? Get ready to relive your life on the big screen this year!”

Directed by Mahesh Babu P, Andhra King Taluka promises to be an exuberant yet heartwarming story of an average movie lover and his relationship with a superstar. Upendra, who was seen in a cameo appearance in Coolie, will be seen playing the superstar ‘Andhra King’s role. The title glimpse of the film, which was released in May, revealed Upendra’s presence in the film.

Andhra King Taluka also stars Bhagyashri Borse, who was recently seen in Kingdom. The film promises to show Ram Pothineni in a different avatar compared to his previous few releases, which were largely action-driven. Mahesh Babu P made his directorial debut two years ago with Mrs Shetty Mr Polishetty, which achieved moderate success at the box office.

The film is produced by Naveen Yerneni and Ravi Shankar under Mythri Movie Makers banner. The ensemble cast includes Rao Ramesh, Murali Sharma, Satya, Rahul Ramakrishna, and VTV Ganesh. In the technical crew, Siddhartha Nuni helms cinematography, and National award winner Sreekar Prasad is in charge of editing. Production design is by Avinash Kolla.

Malayalam composer-duo Vivek-Mervin are onboard for the film’s music, making their Telugu cinema debut. The first single of the film, ‘Nuvvunte Chale,’ sung by Anirudh earned great popularity online, garnering more than 18 million views so far on YouTube.
