Naresh Agastya’s romantic drama Marokkasari gets title poster

The romantic drama completes filming, becoming the first Indian film to shoot at Gurudongmar Lake

The title poster for the romantic drama Marokkasari, starring Naresh Agastya and Sanjana Saradhi, was unveiled on Saturday. Produced by B Chandrakanth Reddy under CK Film Makers and written and directed by Nithin Lingutla, the film is billed as a romance with  strong visual elements.

The makers of Marokkasari confirmed that filming has concluded and post-production is underway. “The release date will be announced soon,” the team said in a statement, adding that the title reveal had been met with a positive response.

Bharat Manchiraju composes music, with, with six tracks sung by established singers including Karthik, Pradeep Kumar, Devan Ekambaram, and Jassie Gift. The songs have already been filmed in multiple locations.

One of the most notable aspects of Marokkasari is its choice of filming sites. The production travelled to Kerala, Sikkim and the Tibet border to capture its settings, with a milestone shoot at Gurudongmar Lake in Sikkim. Situated at 5,430 metres above sea level, the makers claim that the lake has not previously been featured in any Indian film. The crew further noted the logistical challenges of working at such an altitude, but described the achievement as a point of distinction for the project.

Marokkasari's supporting cast includes Brahmaji, Sudharshan, Venkat, Venkat Kakamanu, and Divyavani. The technical team comprises cinematographer Rohit Bachu, editor Chota K Prasad, production designer Ravikumar Chalamatikari, and sound designer Sai Manindar Reddy. The trailer and further promotional material are expected in the lead-up to its yet-to-be-announced release date.

Naresh Agastya, meanwhile, has Meghalu Cheppina Prema Katha, gearing for release on August 22. His another quirky comedy, Gurram Paapi Reddy, got its teaser unveiled recently.
